Donald Joseph Qualls (also known as DJ Qualls) is an American actor, producer and model. After gaining fame through his roles as a character in Road Trip he has since made appearances in more than 20 feature films including The New Guy Hustle & Flow as well as The Core. He has also appeared in over 22 TV shows like Breaking Bad Supernatural Scrubs Lost Law & Order and others. Qualls has been fighting Hodgkin's Lymphoma since he was 14 years old. Two years later, his cancer is now in recovery. However, treatment at an early stage had severe effects on his health and development. As he began to act in the financial sector, he had a aim. He was a victim of being a poor child. He has said that "I've lived a life of frugality for so long that I'm desperate for financial security, or the world will feel out-of-control to me." He also reflects on his own childhood to see the ways he can tackle the bullying. "Cruelty breaks me heart," he said. DJ's ideal position is to become a father both in reels as well as in reality. However, he does admit that directors rarely cast DJs for these types of role. He would like to become a father when he would be empowered to give less attention for his job and more to his child.
